DC Electric Field Meter

Dragonfly Tech Solutions, Bengaluru offer wide range of DC Electric Field Meters. The equipment (Model: DCEMF-50) is designed for short time measurement of electric field at ground level in the vicinity of ±500 kV - DC transmission line at ground level for both polarities. The measuring principle shall be of shutter type field mill at a shutter frequency of 180 to 200 HZ. The equipment is designed in two parts viz 1) Field Mill Sensor Unit and 2) Measuring Unit. Both units shall be interconnected with suitable screened cable having a minimum length of 30 meters. For safety reasons, the operating voltage of the sensor unit will not be more than 30 V AC/DC.

This particular equipment is designed for the measurement at ground level so, mounting stand is not required. The whole equipment / circuitry is protected from induced static charge / induced voltage which can damage the system due to switching ON/OFF operation of the transmission line.

The built-in amplifier of the field mill is capable of driving the output signal to a maximum of 30 meters through shielded cable to the metering module. 5 nos. field mills along with required accessories will be supplied. Please note that the monitor will provide one reading at a time depending on the channel chosen on the metering module.
